During the Milan design week (17th-24th April 2012), the XL Combines gallery is pleased to present the latest futuristic breakthrough of NCW INDUSTRIES, industrial corporation that deals with the production of technology and robotics with the adhesive tape. It is an utopian project that explores the uses and technological developments of the tape in the next millennium.
Emblem of this research is a bionic spider, ARACNE 8.0:
“Conceived by NCW Industries for being the best & only nanotech tape-bot on the market, ARACNE 8.0 model is molded in black fibro-titanium to withstand all kind of environment : from the deep space’s pressure, radioactive wrecks to earth’s urban acid atmosphere, ARACNE 8.0 is equipped with the latest innovation in terms of ergonomics, resistance, dynamic and cutting tools.
Used for a large variety of tasks, from recovering and taping relics of the space; to delimit public areas and guide to help people in the most harmful working areas, ARACNE is an autonomous robot: reliable, efficient and easy to repair.”
The presentation is unraveled through the rooms of the XL Combines gallery, where there will be an audio-visual installation made in collaboration with Tesa, world market leader in tape and KOS Technology, new generation brand in LED lighting and sound quality.
